Work Sustainability: Challenges of Employment Environments for Factory Workers

When factory industrial development occurs in a region, people’s livelihoods shift from the agrarian to sectors. The industry makes job opportunities available people all walks of life. purpose this research was identify strategies employed by workers ensure their own survival. study used qualitative descriptive methods. Research conducted Mojokerto Regency, Indonesia. observations, interviews, and documentation. findings were as follows: (1) survival mechanisms meet needs are very diverse. They include doing side work, bringing family members borrowing money friends cooperatives, saving for expenses. done needs. (2) Workers’ attempts keep working carried out operating various machines, demonstrating best work abilities possible, following rules, attempting win approval superiors so that employment contracts might be extended. act order able survive competition with other workers.
